Depression & Anxiety

Feeling like you're constantly on edge, or like the weight never lifts, doesn't mean something is wrong with your faith.

Years of high-stress calls, disrupted sleep, and carrying other people's worst days can leave a mark — constant worry, a low that won't lift, or a sense of dread that doesn't match what's actually happening around you.

These aren't character flaws, and they aren't a lack of faith. They're often the natural result of a body and mind that have been on high alert for a long time. A chaplain is here to listen without judgment and to pray with you — and we also want to be honest with you: for many people, healing comes through a combination of faith, community, and professional care. We can help you find a licensed counselor if that's a step you need, and there's no shame in it.

What Scripture Says

When Anxiety Takes Over

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication... let your requests be made known unto God.” — Philippians 4:6

When You Feel Cast Down

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul?... hope thou in God.” — Psalm 42:11

For Peace of Mind

“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee.” — Isaiah 26:3
